Mark July 20 on your calendars for the mosaicHouse Work Bee! From 9am-4pm, it’s all hands on deck at East campus--even if you can only come for an hour or two, all help is appreciated. There are many spaces in need of a couple coats of paint, reorganization, some floors that need to be laid, and outside upkeep maintenance that needs to happen. We are also hoping to have someone committed to keeping an eye on kids in the nursery so that more hands are available.
A couple of years ago, mosaicHouse received a fantastic opportunity in the form of a building, which we have since used to create The neighbourHouse Community Centre. The neighbourHouse building has become an important part of the community in the few short years that we have been here. It hosts a daycare, piano lessons, self-defense courses, a community resource centre, the African Fellowship church, and of course mosaicHouse Church and it’s Outreach programs. It seems crazy to think that we have only been here for a little over 2½ years! We have only begun to hear the impact that we are having from the members of the community and we celebrate. With this building comes the responsibility of caring, upkeep, and updating so that we can continue to serve the community in the best capacity. We are asking members of South and East to partner with us and lend a hand on July 20 to complete some much needed work at the East campus. We are asking East and South members to volunteer because the building contributes to the mission of mosaicHouse as a whole, “serving our city and leading people to Jesus”. This building allows us to serve the community of Ottewell and often Blue Quill as well as the programs we run out of here also serve the South campus. We are asking you to mark July 20 on your calendars and commit to a couple of hours of service for the greater good of mosaicHouse church!
