Let’s start a kindness movement!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you know your neighbours? Whether you’ve lived in your neighbourhood for many years or just moved in, how well do you know those who leave near you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meeting and getting to know your neighbours is a great way to build community, make new friends, and support each other in times of need. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let’s all make a commitment this week to get to know our neighbours and do something kind for them. Here are some ideas to get you started:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Make them a meal or drop off a giftcard for a local restaurant⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Help out with yard work like raking leaves or cleaning out a garden ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Offer to pick up groceries or mail for a neighbour with mobility difficulties ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Sit outside for a cup or coffee or tea on a nice day⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Invite them to join you for a walk around the neighbourhood or to a local park⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Write them a kind, encouraging note and hand-deliver it⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Drop off balloons as an outdoor decoration for a birthday or anniversary⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are some other ideas you have getting to know your neighbours? Drop them in the comments. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
