Hey students! How have you been lately? Have you had the opportunity to stop, take a breath, and see how you’re doing physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually?

The regular demands of school can be draining enough - so add the complications of a pandemic on top of that, and there’s a lot to worry about. Let’s be honest: it can be hard to remember to take care of yourself. But self-care as a student can be crucial to making sure you don’t burnout - and making sure you are still finding fulfillment and enjoyment in everyday life.

Here are 5 self-care tips for students:

1. Take a break from screens. Start your next assignment with a pen and notebook, or try a voice-to-text app instead.

2. Don’t procrastinate! Putting things off until the last minute can increase stress - so try to get things done early and put your mind at ease.

3. Start a hobby that will clear your mind. Think cooking or knitting or painting or gardening - anything to give your mind a break.

4. Eat healthy. Easy meals don’t have to be unhealthy, so find some recipes that are both good for you and don’t take a lot of time.

5. Get active. Taking care of your body is good for your overall health. Even just a quick 20 minute walk can help with concentration and motivation.
