Did you have a self-care routine that got thrown off course and haven’t been able to get back? Do you want to incorporate more self-care into daily life but don’t know where to start? Are you too busy to even think about self care? 

Here are ten tips for five-minute self-care! You don’t need a lot of time to care for yourself: you can do all these things in five minutes - or less! 

1. Take a few deep breaths. Deep breathing exercises can help you relax and clear your mind.

2. Text a friend to let them know you’re thinking of them. 

3. Pet your cat or dog. Lean into that real emotional support pets can provide you. 

4. Drink a glass of water. 

5. Move your body: stretch, walk around the house, do jumping jacks, anything.

6. List five things you’re grateful for. 

7. Sing your favourite song.

8. Meditate, pray, or just sit in silence. 

9. Step outside and breathe in some fresh air.

10. Wash your face.
