The ministries of mosaicHouse Church are focused on connecting, cultivating and commissioning God’s people in loving, serving and growing relationships with all people in both inEdmonton and globally.

Welcome and Hospitality Ministry

Greeter Team Memeber: Provides a warm welcome to all who enter the church. Greeters provide helpful information to those needing it, guide guests to their desired locations, and ensure that our entry ways are presentable to the public. Serve at least once a month. [20 min before the service & 20 min at end of service]

Usher Team Memeber: Individuals who are located just inside the worship area. Ushers guide guests to seats when required. Ushers also take up the offering during the service. Serve at least once a month.

First Impressions Team Member: Offers welcome and hospitality to our guests because Jesus offered His to us.  Creates a warm and friendly environment by ensuring areas are clean and neat, decorations are set-up, and signages are clearly placed.  The First Impression team member thoughtfully considers the first time guest’s experience from start to finish. Serve at least once a month. [20 min before the service & 20 min at end of service]

Table Fellowship Team Member: Offers welcome and hospitality to our guests by preparing a dish to share during Table Fellowship. Assisting with the set-up serving and  clean up. Serve at least once a month. [1 hour]

Ministry Leaders and Champion: Provides mentorship and development of new volunteers, organizes training and coaching. Oversee Welcome and Hospitality Ministry operation.

Administration

Campus Administrator Team Member: Assists the Administration team leader with the preparation of Sunday worship Service. Helping with tasks like preparing class materials, cutting and folding handouts, providing practical support to Sunday Worship ministry. Serves about 5 hours / month.

Administration Office Assistants: Help facilitate discipleship classes with the help of Campus Administration team members (i.e Welcome to mosaicHouse, Explore Baptism and Profession of Faith, Covenant partnership class), take attendance, organize supplies and resources. Assist the office staff with data entry. Serves about 8 hours / month.

Minstiry Leader and Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organizes training, coaching. Oversee Administration ministry operation.

Children's Ministry

Helper: Develops relationships with children and assists the teachers with providing a safe and secure enviroment so that parents can participate in worship and church activities. Serves at least once a month. [1 hour on Sunday]

Teacher: Develops relationships with children while teaching the Bible story and leading in class activities. Curriculum and supplies are provided. Serves at least once a month and preparing for leading the class. [ 2+ hours of prep + 1 hour on Sunday]

Check-in Leader: Follows and enforces mosaicHouse Safe Church policies, including but not limited to proper sign-in and out procedures, registration and safety and security ratios. Help new guests with registration and ensures that all parents sign their children in and out. Monitor hallways and rooms during shift. Serves at least once a month [1 hour on Sunday]

Ministry Leader and Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organizes training, coaching. Oversee Children’s ministry operation.

*Children’s ministry includes BabyHouse, LittleHouse, Kids and Senior KidsHouse.**All Children’s ministry volunteers required to go through Police Information Checks and Safe Church training and must provide references.

Youth Ministry

Team Member: Develops relationships with children and assist with programs and classes organized for youth. Serves at least once a month. 

Ministry Leader and Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organize training, coaching. Oversee Youth ministry operation.

*All Youth ministry volunteers required to go through Police Information Checks, Safe Church training and must provide references.

houseChurch Ministry 

Apprentice Lead Missionary: Assists the Lead Missionary in leading the houseChurch to to grow and develop in our 6 values and to function as an Acts 2 church.

Lead Missionary: Help people find biblical community by creating an environment where people are welcomed, engaged, and immersed in scripture. The Lead Missionary facilitates members to learn from the Bible together, spends time in prayer for one another, fellowships with and invests in one another, and equips one another for the work of ministry. Serves weekly or bi-weekly leading the houseChurch, as monthly coaching and being coached.

Champion: Provides mentorship and assists Lead Missionaries with developing apprentices, assists houseChurch directors with training, coaching and scheduling.

Outreach Ministry

Team member: Provides a friendly face and a willing hand with the tasks of hosting our many outreach programs ie. Alpha, ESL, Financial management, special events. Volunteers are needed to help in all areas like food service, set-up, clean-up, small group leader etc. Serves periodically as programs are available. [4 hour shift per event]

Ministry Leaders: Ministry leaders represent mosaicHouse church in the community. Volunteers have the opportunity to serve as:  [Depending on position – 4-6 hours / month].

     Outreach Event Leader [events and programs like Food Truck, ESL, Crafty Story Time],

     Representative to the Community League

     Community Blitz Project Leader

Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organize training, and coaching. Oversee Outreach ministry operation.

Micah Ministry

Micah Team Member and Leader: Micah team directly supports the vision of mosaicHouse Church of ‘leading people to Jesus and serving our city.’  The Micah team oversees acts of justice and organize three movements : Global mission, Reconciliation and Creation Care. Team members participate as a representative which requires at least 2-5 hours a months, or on a project, on an occasional basis.

Emergency Response Team Member and Leader: Develop, recommend and oversee policies and procedures which establish the type, amount and frequency of assistance to individuals or families who request assistance. Locate church members and community persons who can provide appropriate assistance. Volunteers serve on an occasional basis

Ministry Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organizes training, coaching. Oversee Outreach ministry operation.

Worship Ministry

Praise Team Member: Contributes vocal and/or instrumental abilities to weekly worship services and other church events. Must be familiar with all vocal/instrumental parts and prepared to sing/play them. Praise team members serve at least once a month and participate in rehersals.

Audio Team Member: Contributes to Sunday worship by operating the audio/sound equipment. Audio team members serve at least once a month and participate in rehersals.

Visual Team Member: Creates praise song lyrics slides and sermon slides with mosaicHouse Software. Visual team members serve at least once a month and prepare for Sunday worship ahead of time.

Ministry Leaders and Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organizes training, coaching and rehearsals. Oversee Worship Ministry operation.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry Team Member: Models, cultivates and encourages rhythms of prayer at mosaicHouse church. Comfortable with praying for people. Able to keep information confidential. Prayer team members serve at least once a month.

Ministry Leader and Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organizes training and coaching. Oversee Prayer ministry operation.

Safe Church Ministry

Team Member: Provides a safe environment to our guests and members as well as properly diffuse undesirable situations. Interested in keeping guests and church members  healthy and safe. Serves at least once a month.

Ministry Leader: Participate in Safe Church meetings and enforces Safe Church ministry policies and create ministry documents. Handles Safe Church issues and investigations in communication with Safe Church Champion. Health and Safety experience is an asset. Serves at least 5 hours / month.

Champion: Provide mentorship and development of new volunteers, organize training, coaching. Oversee Safe Church ministry operation.

Facilities Ministry

Team member: Volunteers use their special skills and experience (ie. electrician, plumber) to maintain church building and grounds and upkeep equipment and supplies. Serves as needed, up to 5 hours a month.

Ministry Leader: Oversee and organize special projects to maintain church building and grounds and upkeep equipment. Determining and scheduling repairs or renovations project and coordinating safety inspections. Depending on projects serves on an occasional basis.

Ministry Champion: The Ministry Champion facility manager needs to book all Church  activities, control schedules, manage contracts, develop work standards, and evaluate both volunteers and external contractors. Provides mentorship and raises up new volunteers, organize training, coaching and scheduling. Oversee Safe Church ministry operation.

Personnel Ministry

Team Member and Champion: The Personnel Team represents and assists Council in meeting its oversight responsibility with respect to the human resource functions of the church. The team will consist of up to four persons. One member will be a member of the Council. The remainder of the team will be selected from the congregation at large with prior approval from Council.Previous Human resources experience an asset. Team members will reply to emails promptly and attend and serve at meetings when requested. Serves periodically as requests come up : 5-10 meetings a year.
