and feet in our community by showing LOVE and GRACE. The Micah team presents many
opportunities to show love and grace in our community. In which we encourage you and
your houseChurch to give back to the community by getting involved. Once you have chosen
something to do as a group please let [email protected] know the activity, date and time
ASAP~ thanks

4) Homework Club Tutor

Tutors sit with groups of newcomer children after classes and help them with their
homework. Staff are always present to support the tutors, and there are clubs for
elementary, junior and high school. You don’t need to be a teacher, but you do need to be
patient, a good communicator and want to help young people learn. Children can bring any
kind of homework to the clubs, but English, math and science are particularly important.
We welcome you to come up with creative and fun ways to help youth understand their
homework. Contact Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcommers for more information.
